2005 Saltram Mamre Brook Shiraz

Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue, showing excellent cling to the glass wall. Top note of vanilla, followed by ripe plum and spice showing strong varietal character. The palate has excellent weight, with loads of ripe plum, dark chocolate and spice flavours. A generous, voluptuous Barossa red, with vanilla and black pepper backbone being dominant. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, plum and spice.
