Very deep black crimson colour with mauve purple hue. Top note of blackcurrant, followed by cedar, spice and hints of liquorice delivering a perfumed sniff, showing strong varietal character. The palate is classic cool climate Cabernet, with flavours of blackcurrant and spice over a layer of cedar. The palate has good weight with spicy mouthfeel. Hints of chocolate in the background. Aftertaste of spice and blackcurrant.
