2005 Winbirra Vineyards Viognier

Brilliant pale gold colour with straw hue. Magnificent, exotic nose that heralds an equally magnificent palate flavour profile. Lifted aroma of exotic tropical fruit ‘on the turn’, very ripe apricot, mango and paw paw. Powerful Viognier palate, reminiscent of the great Viognier from Chateau Grillet. The palate is full of exotic tropical fruit flavours ‘on the turn’, ripe apricot, mango, paw paw and orange blossom infusions fill the palate. Superb silky texture and mouthfeel giving the wine tremendous length. Clean acid finish with long exotic fruit aftertaste.
