2005 Yalumba Barossa Shiraz Viognier

Co-fermenting a small percentage of Viognier with Shiraz produces a very perfumed red. Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Medium body. Top note of dried apricot followed by violets and blackberry, delivering a perfumed lift. The palate has good weight, with flavours of plum, spice and blackberry. Soft tannins make for immediate drinking appeal. Aftertaste of plum, spice and blackberry. A well made aromatic wine delivering plenty of flavour.
