2005 Yalumba The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

The Yalumba Signature is the perfect expression of an ‘Australian blend’ using two classic grape varieties: Cabernet and Shiraz. In the Old World, these two complimentary grapes would never have met (not legally anyhow), whereas in Australia, in the absence of appellation laws, the blend was all go with no holds barred. The Signature has another notable attribute in that from a corporate perspective, it represents a 'living' acknowledgement to the contribution made to the well being of a company by its employees. Those honoured with a release of Signature have not only been winemakers and viticulturalists, but general managers and key company account executives, recognising that wine production is a team business.
