2006 Adelphi Glen Elgin 13 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - 54.6%

Not one but two Glen Elgins are included in the latest Adelphi offer. To confuse matters, they're both thirteen year olds and both distilled in 2006. The easiest way to distinguish them is by the difference in ABV and cask number. This one's #802276 bottled in 2019 at 54.6% with a yield of 302 bottles. Non chill filtered.

Notes from Adelphi... Drawn from an ex-Bourbon hogsheads (previously fitted with new ends), this has the colour of deep gold with excellent beading. The nose is grassy initially with notes of almond and coconut muesli, honeysuckle, rosehip and a kiwi pavlova. On the palate there are “soor plooms”, marzipan, oaty biscuits and well-cooked banana. Finishes with salty custard slices.
