2006 La Vieille Ferme Cotes du Ventoux

Crimson red colour with mauve hue. Aromas of freshly crushed raspberries and cherries with a touch of ink. Light to medium weight palate, quite dry, with flavours of raspberry, cherry, spice and a touch of earth. Aftertaste of macerated cherry, raspberry and spice. Fine grained dry tannins. A lighter styled red ideal for summer drinking.

The 2006 red wine, a blend of 50% Grenache with the rest Carignan and Syrah, the 2006 La Vieille Ferme Cotes du Ventoux exhibits nice grapy and berry fruit in an uncomplicated, medium-bodied style with some pepper, herb, and spice.
