2006 Poggiotondo Toscana Sangiovese

Vibrant, mauve crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. Medium body. Lifted nose of spice, cherry and plum, followed by a hint of liquorice and stewed fruit. The palate is leaner than the nose suggests and is dominated by dry tannins – typical Italian manners. Dry tannins run through the aftertaste.
