2006 Tahbilk Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Deep crimson red, deep purple colour with crimson purple hue. Restrained aromas of liquorice allsorts, plum and confectionary. Medium weight with a relatively simple flavour profile of blackberry, liquorice and spice with some blackpepper on the back palate. Fine grained tannin structure with modest aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, spice and blackpepper. A commercial red.
Drink now or cellar a further 2-3 years (2010-2013)
