2007 Claxton's Warehouse No.8 Glenlossie 15 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Known for its delicacy, Claxton's bolster this rarely bottled Diageo malt with a sherry octave. The result is a robust East Speysider with a touch of old-world character. Polished floorboards, fruit-cake, dried figs and bittersweet chocolate come wrapped up in chewy tannins and allspice. It's almost unlike any other Glenlossie we’ve encountered before. Compare it to cask strength equivalents from Edradour. Best after plenty of air contact. With repeated tasting the richness of the oloroso really starts to unravel. 67 bottles only. 53.2% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... NOSE: Rich & creamy Sherry notes. Burnt orange in liqueur. Candied fruit. PALATE: Sweet oak and bitter orange. Oak smoke mingled with rich fruit. FINISH: Dry and bittersweet with oak and toffee. Long and moreish aftertaste.
