Light and fresh like Finos, Manzanilla sherries are aged close to the coast in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Spain. They're typically bone dry with a salty tang, so you'd expect the style to work well with coastal single malts. This is reportedly full term (11 years) in x- Manzanilla casks, not just a finishing. It might taste a little odd if you're not used to different styles of sherry but sounds intriguing! Notes from the producers... Nose: Salted caramel, creamy berries, rich oak, honeyed cashew nuts, dried fruit and subtle spice. Palate: Dried fruit and fig, sweet malt, candied fruit, rich oak toffee. Finish: Dried fruit with salted caramel.
