2008 Cape Mentelle Chardonnay

Brilliant straw colour with greenish tinge and watery hue. A very refined sniff with aromas of delicate white peach, biscuit and cashew with a light toast flinty match stick like overlay. Burgundian inspired, the palate is reflective of the nose with a refined flavour profile of cashew, biscuit, lees, light peach and toast with a hint of hazelnut emerging on the back palate. Superb mouthfeel and length. Clean dry finish with long aftertaste of cashew, yeast lees, hazelnut and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
