2008 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Craigellachie 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A single cask Craigellachie bottled from hogshead without filtration. Notes from Laing's suggest a warmingly spiced whisky with soft chewy caramel and poached peaches, tangy citrus and late orange pith.

Tasting note: [20ml sample] A youthful Craigellachie offering aromas of cream sponge and orange pith offset by a dried grass edge. It's full bodied, sweet and oily with hints of stone fruits and pineapple pudding. True to the distillery style, though not quite as spicy as the official 13 year old; faint whisps of smoke add length to the aftertaste. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol.
