2008 Highfield Estate Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark brick red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries and dark plum followed by some meaty game like notes and a touch of cedar. Medium weight the palate delivers a generous flavour profile of dark cherries and plum followed by a touch of anise and some spicy cedar on the back palate. Excellent richness and power wave. Very fine grained beautifully integrated tannins with long aftertaste of dark cherries, anise and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
