2008 Soul Growers Equilibrium Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre

Soul Growers is owned by four mates David Cruickshank, Paul Heinicke, James and Paul Lindner who through their careers they have worked for Orlando, Yalumba, R Wines, Langmeil and Rockford. An outstanding blend produced from 47% Shiraz, 39% Grenache and 14% Mourvedre with maturation taking place in a combination of predominately older French & American oak. Total production was limited to only 220 dozen.

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of liquorice allsorts, dark chocolate and dark plum followed by some confectionary end notes. Rich and plump in texture the palate displays voluptuous flavours of liquorice allsorts, blackberry and dark chocolate followed by a spicy back palate. Very fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice allsorts and spice.
