2008 The Wire Walker by Philip Shaw Pinot Noir

Semi translucent crimson red colour with mauve brick red hue. The nose displays some violet and dark cherry notes followed by some strawberry and a hint of spice as an end note. Light to medium weight, the palate delivers flavours of dark cherries, strawberries and spice followed by a touch of cedar. Fine grained tannins with moderate aftertaste of dark cherry and spice. A soft pleasant red but without any great complexity or depth.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
