2008 Tim Adams The Aberfeldy Shiraz

Matured for 24 months in new American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark red black hue. The nose displays top notes of blackberry, liquorice, dark plum and confectionary with some mocha end notes showing good perfumed lift. Full bodied the palate boasts generous opulent flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberry, dark plum and dark chocolate followed by a touch of vanillin spice on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin chocolate and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2010-2016).
