2009 Adelphi Breath of the Highlands 12 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Yet another addition to the 'Breath of' series, as always, sourced from an undisclosed distillery so we can't say much - except to tell you it spent its time maturing in ex-sherry casks until bottling in 2022. Style-wise, this is about as seamlessly integrated as they come: Tea biscuits, honeyed malt and late sprinklings of spice make for a whisky that feels twice its age - as does the faint rancio and beeswaxy return.
