2009 Glen Eldon Dry Bore Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays vanillin and mocha like top notes followed by some dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. Rich, succulent and lush the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of dark chocolate and mocha with a strong vanillin oak overlay. Velvet smooth soft tannin structure. Aftertaste of dark, very ripe plum, dark chocolate and vanillin oak. Matured for 18-24 months in American and French oak, the strong vanillin oak component that runs through the wine will be a little too prominent for some.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014)
