2009 Kanta Egon Muller Riesling

Kanta Riesling by Egon Müller is a unique winemaking partnership between superstar German winemaker Egon Müller and Michael Andrewartha where German tradition and precision meets the premium, cool climate fruit from the Adelaide Hills.

A very interesting and different style of Riesling , that displays superb textural qualities - no doubt due, in part, to the influence of Egon Muller.
Brilliant pale straw colour with faint greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of ripe lime, tropical fruits, citrus and a hint of honeysuckle. The palate is quite full possessing wonderful mouthfeel with flavours of ripe lime, tropical fruits and citrus followed by some honeysuckle characters on the back palate. Clean crisp cleansing acid finish with long aftertaste of tropical fruits, honeysuckle and ripe lime.
Drink now or cellar 3-4 years (2011-2015)
