2009 Massena The Eleventh Hour Shiraz

Super saturated impenetrable inky black colour with very deep black crimson hue – an outstanding start showing almost paint like glass cling. The nose displays an intense aromatic profile of very ripe dark plum, dark chocolate, a touch of dried raisins and spice. Densely concentrated and possessing a lavish opulent texture the palate exudes super rich ripe fruit with flavours of dark ripe plum, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of ripe black plum, dark chocolate and spice. A big, fat, sumptuous Shiraz.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
