2009 North Star Braeval 13 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A genuine novelty - even for whisky boffins - in fact, we've sourced less then ten expressions in forty years of selling single malts! Founded in 1973 as "Braes of Glenlivet", Pernod Ricard purchased the Braeval distillery in 2001 only to mothball it the following year. Currently owned by Chivas Brothers, (who kick-started production in 2008), Braeval has always been reserved for blenders. This one spent 13 years in an Oloroso sherry butt. North Star are offering 341 bottles only, filled at 55% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose - Airfix glue, peach stones and sweet almonds. Palate - Macaroon and candied lemon rind. Finish - Milk chocolate covered honeycomb.
