2009 Pipers Brook Vintage Sparkling

Pours with a fine creamy mousse that holds well. Once dissipated it reveals a pale straw base wine colour with an exceptionally fine and very persistent bead. Aromas of citrus and a faint hint of grapefruit are married to some baked bread and subtle yeast lees characters. Very elegant, delicate flavours of citrus peel and lemon move lightly over the palate with nuances of baked bread and yeast lees also present. Finishes dry with crisp acidity. Aftertaste of citrus peel, lemon, baked bread, faint cashew and yeast lees.
Cellar a further 4-5 years to fill it out.
