2009 Pooles Rock Chardonnay

Matured for 8 months in a combination of new and 1 year old French oak barrels. Bright pale straw colour with pale gold greenish tinged edges and watery hue. The nose displays aromas of white peach and citrus followed by some toasty biscuit, honeycomb like notes. Medium to full in weight the palate displays flavours of biscuit, toast and white peach followed by some roast almond and a hint of honeycomb. Clean dry finish. Almost creamy like texture with aftertaste of peach, toast, almond and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
