2010 Best's Great Western Sparkling Shiraz

We're always on the look out for Sparkling Shiraz that stands out sub $30 which nowadays are few and far between. Best's once again take the prize with this superb, very reasonably priced sparkling Shiraz that's arrived just in time for Christmas.

Excellent long lasting creamy purple mauve mousse which once dissipated reveals a dark crimson red purple coloured base wine. Exceptionally fine bead showing good persistence. The nose shows excellent intensity with ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas overlaid with some toasty characters and a touch of spice. Rich and creamy in texture the palate is filled with ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours followed by some toasty vanillin oak characters and spice. Excellent length with long ripe dark blackberry, liquorice, vanillin toast and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2017-2018).
