2010 Claxton's Warehouse No.1 Royal Brackla 11 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A Brackla like we've never tasted before. Known for its light to medium bodied and honeyed style, maturation in a PX sherry hogshead ramps up the richness without completely obscuring the distillate. The texture is soft, plump and rounded. Ripe plum and honey drizzled fruit cake jest with sweeter PX dried fruits and late sponge cake before turning thick and honeyed at the finish. Some forgivable prickle knocks the balance off slightly, but it doesn't diminish from what is a lavish after-dinner malt. 54.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 275 bottles.
