2010 Izway Harold Eden Valley Shiraz

Spectacular super saturated inky black purple colour with very deep black purple hue. Showing some restraint upon first sniff the nose gradually opens up to reveal scents of blackberries and dark plums followed by a touch of liquorice, some earthy cedar and spice. Dense and opulent, yet far from bulky or fat, the palate has both refinement and structure. Super rich flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flood the palate underpinned by a touch of earthiness and cedar with a spicy finish. Velvet smooth very fine grained yet solidly built tannin structure. Excellent depth with very long ripe blackberry, liquorice, earthy cedar and spice aftertaste.
