2011 Arboleda Syrah

A very interesting alternative to mainstream Australian Shiraz.

Impenetrable inky black purple core showing superb colour saturation with a dark purple black hue. The nose displays lifted black cherry top notes alongside a touch of liquorice with tobacco like overtones followed by some earthy cedar and spice. Rich and texturally polished the palate possesses a savoury flavour profile of black cherry and liquorice followed by some subtle tobacco like characters, dried meats and spicy cedar. Dryish finish with velvet smooth tannins. Long black cherry, liquorice, dried meats and spicy cedary tobacco aftertaste.
