2011 Craggy Range Te Kahu Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec

A blend of 69% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Malbec. Opaque dark red black colour with a crimson purple hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and dark mulberry are intermixed with a touch of dark chocolate followed by some cedar, earth and spice. Light to medium bodied the palate is elegantly built with flavours of blackcurrant and mulberry over a background of earthy cedar and spice. Dryish finish with ever so slightly chalky but otherwise fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of earthy blackcurrant, mulberry and spicy cedar.
