2011 Lady of the Glen Balmenach Single Cask #417 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Drawn from an inventory of re-charred ex-sherry casks, this heavy distillate was re-racked into a freshly re-charred cask for added vanilla and honey notes. It's a curious Balmenach nose mixing marmalade with coconut, cocoa and oak shavings. There are some delicious bittersweet dark chocolate threads throughout the weighty middle, drying out and spicing up significantly at the finish. Otherwise a lush, straightforward and pretty explosive malt that will stretch out your dollar value with dilution. 54.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 318 bottles.
