2011 Lindemans Regional Series Chardonnay Pinot Noir Vintage Cuvee
Sourced from two of Australia’s preeminent regions for Sparkling wines the Yarra Valley & Adelaide Hills this is the best entry level Sparkling we’ve seen in a long time.
Pours well for a commercial bubbly displaying a white creamy mousse and a pale straw base wine colour. Very fine bead showing excellent persistence. Nosing reveals ripe pear top notes intermixed with yeast lees, baked bread and light citrus aromas. The palate impresses for the price featuring a moderately creamy texture and good richness with flavours of baked bread, citrus, yeast lees and light toast. Clean crisp dry finish with an aftertaste of baked bread, citrus and yeast lees. Fantastic value and a great everyday drinking bubbly for the many parties ahead.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 11.5%
Other Reviews….
Yarra Valley/Adelaide Hills blend. The best of the new Regional Series wines. Fresh and zippy with just enough complexity. Peach, citrus, brown bread and red apple notes. Daring dart of acidity but it has balancing weight of flavour. Drink by 2015.
