2011 Roaring Meg Pinot Noir

Matured for 9 months in French oak. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with light crimson red hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with scents of ripe dark cherries, a touch of violet, some gamey cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate offers up a flavoursome profile of dark cherries, plum and spice with some underlying gamey cedar like characters and the spice persisting onto the back palate. Velvet smooth softly textured tannins. Medium to long dark cherries, spice, lightly toasted cedar and game aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
