2011 Taylor's Late Bottled Vintage Port

Late bottled Vintage Port is bottled later than a Vintage Port and since it spends a longer time in wood is ready to drink earlier. It needs no decanting and will remain in good condition for several weeks after the bottle is opened.

Outstanding totally impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense aromatics of liquorice and ripe black cherries laced with marzipan and fine brandy spirit rise out of the glass followed by hints of vanilla, faint earth and spice. Rich, luscious and thickly textured the palate is coated with liquorice, succulent blackberries and ripe black cherries fused to a combination of marzipan and well integrated brandy spirit with some raisins and spice on the dry finish. Superb viscosity, concentration and power with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, ripe black cherries, subtle raisins, marzipan and spicy brandy spirit.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
