2011 The Black Chook Shiraz

Opaque black crimson colour with dark crimson red black hue. The nose offers up youthful plummy liquorice aromas followed by some ripe blackberry and well integrated toasty oak notes. Joosy and quite fruity the palate delivers flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum and dark cherry followed by some spice, however, it does not have quite the density and depth of stronger vintages. Soft velvety tannins with medium to long aftertaste of dark plum, blackberry and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years. Alc 14.5%
