2011 Woodlands Chloe Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with distinctive greenish highlights around the edges and watery hue. Showing good intensity the nose opens with ripe white peach and cashew top notes with underlying nuances of citrus, spicy cedar and a hint of nougat. Medium weight and refined delicate white peach and citrus flavours are infused with cashew followed by some honeycomb, nougat and spice. Clean dry finish with moderately creamy elegant mouthfeel. Long delicate white peach, cashew, honeycomb and nougat aftertaste.

Fermented and matured in French oak for 10 months. Bright straw colour with watery hue. The nose offers up scents of cashew and delicate white peach followed by a hint of nougat and some spicy oak. Medium weight the palate has good mouthfeel with flavours of cashew, toasty oak and nectarine followed by some biscuit and a very spicy back palate. Clean dry finish. Medium to long cashew, biscuit, light nougat and spicy oak aftertaste.
