2012 Astrolabe Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Grassy green bean top notes are followed by green asparagus, citrus and green herb scents with faint cedary end notes. Texturally full the palate has flavours of unripe gooseberries, fresh herbs, green bean and asparagus. Citrus and light pencil shaving characters are also apparent. The flavour spectrum clearly on the greener side. Clean dry finish with an aftertaste of grassy green bean characters, asparagus, citrus and light cedary infusions.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
