Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice are overlaid by some toasty clove like characters with vanillin cedar and spice following. Full bodied with lush rich blackberry and liquorice flavours to the fore but then a charry oak component moves in, overwhelming the back palate with a touch of spice also present. Firmish finish with slightly grippy tannins. Aftertaste of charry oak, earth and spice.
