2012 Beelgara Black Label Shiraz

Beelgara are one of the country's bigger producers, with a huge winery complex in the Riverina that sources fruit from a variety of regions. Such large operations are still capable of turning out wines above the entry level. This is one. Opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red hue. Liquorice top notes are intermixed with some black cherry aromas followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. Rich and full bodied the palate is filled with succulent ripe fruit flavours of liquorice and black cherries over some vanillin cedar and spice characters. Soft opulent mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long liquorice, black cherry, vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste. Great value.
