2012 Caliterra Reserva Carmenere

This entry level Carmenere also includes a 6% Petit Verdot component. Opaque black purple colour with dark purple hue. The nose exhibits lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrant and dark cherries infused with tobacco followed by some cedar and spice. Reflective of the nose the palate possesses plenty of richness within an elegant structure delivering flavours of ripe blackcurrant, tobacco, cedar, light earth and spice. Dry finish with solid but fine grained tannins. Medium to long blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2018-2019).
