2012 Chateau Pegau Cotes du Rhone Villages

Opaque black dark red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose features ripe black raspberry top notes followed by some liquorice, meatiness and black pepper end notes. The palate shows slightly more weight and richness than the Cuvee Malcura with a generous flavour profile of black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry with a spicy meaty pepper background. Slightly chewy but balanced tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of black raspberry, liquorice, dried meats and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
