This is the second Oloroso octave in the new collection, and it's a fire cracker for Deanston. Well defined sherry input on the nose is deepened then eclipsed by soft, rounded notes of creamy vanilla, granita biscuits, poached pears and more. The flavours carry through in a power-packed malt, laced with vanilla and sweet orchard fruits, lifted by vibrant spices and a grassy zing. Handles the alcohol until the final stages pick up some real chillie heat. Huge for this distillery. Experiment with water. 58.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 78 bottles only.
