2012 Pyren Vineyard Block E Shiraz

Totally opaque black purple colour with a bright dark purple hue. Scented aromas of dark plum and liquorice are followed by toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied rich liquorice, aniseed like flavours are to the fore over dark plum, toasty vanillin oak and spice. Relatively firm tannins impart a slight chewiness on the finish. Aftertaste of liquorice, black cherry, spicy toasty oak and peppered dried meats.
