2012 Te Kairanga John Martin Reserve Pinot Noir

Deep dark red black tinged colour with dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets interlaced with ripe dark cherries and anise waft from the glass followed by some meatiness and spicy cedar. Medium weight the palate possesses plenty of richness along with a glossy texture. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plum are followed by a lick of liquorice, some meaty characters and spicy cedar. Silky smooth tannin structure. Good power with long ripe dark cherry, dark plum, meaty anise and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
