2012 The Black Chook Shiraz

Impressive opaque black dark purple colour with deep dark purple black hue. Youthful nose with freshly crushed berry scents of dark plum and blackberry overlaid with some liquorice and spicy toasty oak characters. The palate possesses rich almost joosy flavours of inky blackberry, liquorice, some subtle toastiness and blackpepper. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of inky blackberry, liquorice and spice.
