2013 Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black crimson red colour with a dark crimson black hue. Aromas of blackcurrant are overlaid by a strong cedary tobacco component followed by some black olive, mulberry and spice. On the palate the cedary tobacco characters are again quite prominent with blackcurrant, black olive and spice also evident. Dryish finsh with solidly built but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of cedary cigar box, tobacco, blackcurrant, black olive and spice. The cedary cigar box characters will be a touch too prominent for some.
Cellar 4-5 years.

A fine expression of cabernet sauvignon with a dash of cabernet franc that shows mint, spearmint and black currant character. Full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. This shows impressive length and balance. Aged for 12 months in 20% new French oak. Drink or hold.
