2013 Barking Mad Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in French oak hogsheads for 21 months. Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue showing outstanding colour saturation. Ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas overlay old cedar and spicy tobacco notes. Big, rich and still quite tannic the palate is awash with ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice flavours with underlying old cedar and spicy tobacco characters. Dry, firm tannins leave a very chewy, mouth puckering impression on the finish. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, black cherry, old cedar and spicy tobacco. A big chewy cabernet.
