2013 Bauchet Memoire Vintage Brut Premier Cru Champagne

A blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir sourced from Premier Cru vineyards in the Cote des Blancs (Grauves) and the Montagne de Reims (Bisseuil), it’s aged for a minimum of 5 years before disgorgement. A fluffy mousse sits atop a light pale gold coloured base that has a fine and persistent bead coursing through it. Aromas of ripe pear, yeast lees and baked bread are married to oily toast like notes and subtle almond. Full, rich and possessing a creamy like mouthfeel the palate is filled with baked bread, oily toast like characters, yeast lees and citrus with traces of dried honey and almond on the back half. Finishes dry with crisp refreshing acidity and a long generous yet refined aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
