2013 Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a crimson red hue showing very good depth. Fragrant aromas of ripe dark cherries and a touch of anise are intermixed with hints of sour cherries over some meatiness, cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate has good richness, power and a supple elegant mouthfeel. It features flavours of dark cherries and plums alongside a touch of anise with an underlying meatiness, some stalky cedar and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, subtle anise, stalky cedar, meaty characters and spice.
