2013 Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir Chardonnay Sparkling

A delicate frothy mousse disappears to reveal a pale straw coloured base wine with pale gold edges and a very fine and profuse bead. Very refined nose of yeast lees, subtle baked bread and citrus with following pear and cashew notes. Tight, lean pear and lemony flavours are to the fore on the elegant racy palate. Nuances of light baked bread and yeast lees also present. Finishes dry and chalky with crisp acidity. Moderate aftertaste of citrus, pears and yeast lees. Needs a few years under its belt to fill out.
