2013 Heathcote Winery The Origin Shiraz

Superb inky black dark purple colour with a very deep bright dark purple black hue. Pronounced liquorice, ripe blackberry and dark plum aromas ooze from the glass followed by toasty vanillin oak and spice. Firmly structured and medium to full in body the palate has excellent richness packed with youthful, luscious flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plums over a background of vanillin oak and inky spicy pepper. Solidly built tannins impart a sense of firmness on the finish. Excellent concentration with a long aftertaste of inky liquorice, ripe blackberries, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper.
